As in past years, the Emerging Frontiers summit brings together experts across industry, academia, and venture capital to share insights on the drivers of future breakthroughs in oncology. We are excited to announce that Managing Director, Dennis Chang will present both the Innovation Bridge talk and lead the Innovation panel discussion. The talk titled, From Precision Medicine To “Inclusion Medicine”, will highlight the many ways in which the development and delivery of cancer therapies would benefit from greater diversity, equity, and inclusion. The panel discussion, Creating And Delivering Next-Generation Therapies To All Patients, will use a debate-style format to highlight different investments in innovation that would help close the gaps and improve the lives of all cancer patients.
Uciane Scarlett, a principal at Oxford Sciences Innovation and Clarion alumna, created and organizes the event series to raise funds for cancer research. This year’s event supports the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center’s CLIMB to Fight Cancer Fellowship. The fellowship will provide financial support for self-identified, underrepresented postdoctoral researchers with a goal of ensuring retention and fostering a diverse community of scientists for generations to come.
