Clarion, a life sciences strategy and organizational consultancy, will be leading a panel discussion focused on exploring the future of oncology innovation at the Emerging Frontiers in Oncology Summit on May 8th at MassBio. The summit will feature multiple formats including an in-depth fireside chat, a debate-style exchange as well as a more traditional moderated panel addressing:
- Research: Driving breakthroughs at the source—the bench. Where is funding allocated, and how will it shape the future pipeline?
- Innovation: What’s ready for prime time? Are we still riding a wave, or is another one on the way?
- People: If we build it, will they come—finding and fostering talent to lead oncology newcos
The debate-style Innovation panel will be moderated by Tom Murtagh (Clarion managing director) and Dennis Chang (Clarion principal). It will also feature seasoned investors, biotech executives, and top-tier academic researchers as they debate the future of continued investment in immunotherapy.
The event is being organized by Uciane Scarlett, an associate at Atlas Venture and Clarion alumna, in support of her efforts to raise funds for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center as part of Luke Timmerman’s Kilimanjaro Climb to Fight Cancer team.
Sponsorship and participation in this event are a part of Clarion’s ongoing commitment to making a difference in the fight against cancer. With over a decade of commitment to advancing cancer research and innovation, Clarion continues to help frame new product and commercialization decision-making in the cancer space.
