Once again this year, Dennis Chang, a Clarion Principal will join a distinguished set of speakers from industry, academia, and venture capital at the upcoming Emerging Frontiers in Oncology Summit on Feb 25th at MassBio. Dennis’ talk titled, Origin Stories & Current Initiatives: The Geography of Cancer Drug Innovation, maps out where cancer therapies were discovered and developed and discusses the role that hubs like Boston/Cambridge can play on the broader stage.

This year’s event focuses on the global dynamics of cancer innovation, and features multiple formats including an in-depth fireside chat, a debate-style exchange as well as a more traditional moderated panel addressing:

• Research: Biotech is a melting pot – do region-specific funding structures coalesce in a way that is supportive of a future global pipeline?
• Innovation: Networked hubs – what are the most relevant models given recent market events in oncology?
• People: Replenishing industry hubs’ talent pools – how can we better leverage region-specific skillsets?
